Travis Room Now Multi-Function Space

In response to survey and focus group feedback requesting more medium to large-sized event spaces the University Center has converted the Travis Room (HUC 2.202) into a multi-function meeting room.

The fixed conference table has been removed from the Travis--creating a flexible meeting space for up to 100.

The fixed conference table has been removed from the Travis–creating a flexible meeting space for up to 100.

“Our clients often need flexible spaces that can accommodate a wide range of set-up options,” said Nikki Lee, associate director of Events Management & Conference Services (EMCS). “By making a few changes, the Travis Room can now better accommodate lectures, classroom-style training or even banquets.”

Previously, the Travis Room had a large, u-shaped conference table and could not accommodate rounds or traditional classroom and lecture set-ups. The room can how hold up to 70 with banquet rounds, 108 for a lecture or 63 for a classroom-style set-up.

Clients interested in booking the Travis Room for a meeting or event should visit the Plan Your Event page and select “UC – Medium Meeting Rooms” on the “select location” drop-down menu.
