New Staff in UC Business Office

The University Center Business Office reaches full staffing as it welcomed two new accounting technicians—Brenda Garcia and Madeline Garcia—to the UC in the month of October.

Brenda is a part-time student at UTSA, pursing a Bachelors degree in Accounting. She’s from Brownsville, TX but decided 3 years ago to look for a new adventure in San Antonio, TX. Brenda’s principle responsibility will be overseeing UC purchasing.

Madeline graduated from the University of Houston with her bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant management in 2011 and was working as a cake decorator at HEB prior to coming to UTSA.  She is excited to put her schooling to work as she handles invoicing for special events and programs in the UC as well as billing for other UC billing needs.

In addition to adding two new accounting technicians, this fall the UC Business Office also promoted Susan Lockett to Supervisor of Accounts. Susan was serving as an account technician prior to this promotion. In her new role, which began September 1, 2012, she will oversee account reconciliations and supervise the Roadrunner Express retail operation.
