The New Latino Generation at Gallery 23 until November 5th

Gallery 23, the University Center’s art gallery, is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with a new art exhibit, “The New Latino Generation.”

“The New Latino Generation” will feature pieces from the UTSA Art Collection and highlights artists who have inspired the poetry of Gregg Barrios, a Texas-born poet whose literary works were presented at the October 5th UTSA National Hispanic Heritage Month event.  Artists include Rolando Briseno, Kathy Vargas, Vincent Valdez, Cesar Martinez, Armando Sanchez, Franco Mondini-Ruiz, Carmen Lomas Garza, and Patsy Valdez. The exhibit is curated by Arturo Almeida.

The exhibit will run until November 5th and can be viewed Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Gallery 23 is located inside the UC near the UC North Fiesta Dancers entrance.
